This is a concise introduction to game theory written in preparation for PhD studies in political science. It is designed as a revision book for researchers who have already completed at least one game theory course at either undergraduate or graduate level and are interested in economic and political decision-making. Therefore, this book is not a substitute for a formal course or textbook.
The focus is the key definitions, concepts, and methods for finding equilibria in strategic games. Readers are encouraged to skip familiar topics and focus on the material most relevant to their needs. For simplicity and conciseness, this book includes only essential examples and leaves all exercises in a workbook.
A set of supplementary materials designed to support students throughout the course. Contents include pre-teaching analysis, lecture and reading summaries, seminar plans, worksheets, and additional practice questions to help consolidate course content and prepare for assessments.
